Presented by Dr. Miriam B. Factora International Kodály Society Symposium August 13-20, 2005 | Leicestershire, England
I had the privilege of presenting at the 17th International Kodály Society Symposium in Leicestershire, England from August 13-20, 2005. This presentation showcased my doctoral dissertation work from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
My research focused on creating a sequential music teaching model tailored specifically for elementary music specialists in the Philippines. The aim was to design a sequence that introduces rhythmic and melodic elements effectively. This would enhance the teaching of literate musicianship within a literature-based curriculum by using systematised Philippine vocal materials.
