Joins Dr. Miriam Factora’s Workshop
- A Shared Commitment to Promoting Filipino Culture Through Music Education -
I was truly pleased to present a workshop in the Bay Area of Northern California—home to one of the largest Filipino immigrant communities in the United States. Hosted by the Northern California Association of Kodály Educators in Burlingame, California, on March 28, 2026, the session was titled From Fieldwork to Classroom: A Journey through Philippine Songs, Rhymes, Games, and Dances.
I was especially grateful for the presence of two officers from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Cultural Officer Anne Estoya and Vice Consul Glaiza Quarteros. Their attendance affirmed the Consulate’s commitment to advancing our shared goal of promoting Filipino culture.
