Part 3 | Returning to My Alma Mater
- Teaching at the UST Conservatory of Music -

The third workshop was held at my alma mater, the Conservatory of Music at the University of Santo Tomas, on February 6, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., under the title “From Fieldwork to Classroom: Developing Philippine Music Resources for Teaching.” Each visit to the Conservatory brings a deep sense of nostalgia, along with renewed energy—it is a place where I experienced both struggles and triumphs as a performer and as a developing educator.

Using materials from my fieldwork, we explored ways to adapt them for different age groups, moving from simple to more complex concepts. Over the years, I have encountered many students at the Conservatory, each bringing unique personalities and varying levels of musical ability, all contributing to a rich and dynamic learning environment.

My sincere appreciation to Maria Theresa V. Roldan and Dolores T. Andres for hosting me, and for their dedicated work in the music education program.
